We're always looking for contributors who can provide original, useful, and actionable insight to our audience. Non-staff contributors are not paid for articles contributed to Deal Makers Wire, and upon publishing, contributed articles become the sole property of Deal Makers Wire'.

Contributor guidelines

We’re looking for articles that offer valuable insight and provide our audience with actionable advice they can leverage to build more successful careers and businesses. Our content is focused on private equity, mergers & acquisitions, and real estate, as well as a range of relevant topics, such as business development, financial, performance, and more, that will help them be more successful in their industries. All articles submitted must meet the following criteria:

  • Your article must be original, and must not contain content copied from elsewhere or be generated with AI.
  • Submitted articles must not have been published elsewhere and may not be submitted simultaneously to other outlets or published anywhere else. There is one exception—contributors  may republish their own articles on their own web website. In this case, you must wait 7 days after your article is first published at Deal Makers Wire, and you must include a link back to your article on Deal Makers Wire.
  • Your article must be useful and provide our audience with actionable insight that they can implement without signing up for, or buying anything. All promotional articles will be rejected.
  • Word count should generally be between 750-1,500 words, but we may accept longer articles in some cases.
  • Your title should be set in title case, and any subheads should be H2s in sentence case.
  • When using m-dashes or ellipses, do not leave a space before or after. Do not use n-dashes at all.
  • Links to articles from legitimate media outlets are encouraged when they provide insight, data, and additional context. If you’re unsure whether a particular media outlet is legitimate, the Vetted browser extension, which is available for free on the Chrome Web Store, may be helpful.
  • Links to your own content and/or any promotional content will generally be rejected.
  • Amplification/promotion is mandatory. We are giving you a platform to demonstrate your expertise and reach our audience, so we expect you to promote the articles you publish here to your audience on social media and through other channels. Failure to do so will result in future articles being rejected.
  • Deal Makers Wire editorial team makes all final publication decisions and may edit submissions for clarity, length, and style. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
